A very warm welcome to Wilberfoss Tennis Club!
We are a friendly, community-led village club just outside York, where tennis is about enjoying the game, meeting great people, and feeling part of something local.
Founded in 1984, we’re a club for everyone. Whether you’re brand new to tennis, picking it back up after a break, keen to play matches, or just looking for a relaxed and sociable place to play, you’ll fit right in here.
We have four all-weather courts, so you can play year-round, and a welcoming club pavilion with changing facilities, toilets, and space to unwind after a match. It’s the perfect spot to grab a drink, have a chat, and enjoy the views across the Yorkshire Wolds.
Tennis your way
At Wilberfoss, you can play as casually or competitively as you like:
- Friendly social tennis sessions for all abilities
- League tennis in the York & District Tennis Leagues for those who enjoy competition
- Plenty of chances to improve, meet new people, and get involved at your own pace
- Social events throughout the year that make the club feel more like a community than just a place to play
From April onwards, there’s always something going on:
- Monday nights – relaxed, informal social tennis
- Wednesday nights – official club night
- Once a month on a Friday – a special social tennis night, followed by a few drinks at the pavilion 🍻
We’re proud to be known as one of the friendliest clubs in the area, and we’re always happy to welcome new faces.
