14th April 2024: The weather was perfect. The freshly refurbished courts were looking great. We had 16 players all raring to flex their tennis muscles at the traditional curtain raiser for the new season.
After 2 hours of pulsating (at times) tennis and no injuries it came down to a final shootout between the grizzled veterans Danny Burke / Neil Pratt versus the young upstarts Georgia Pratt / Edward Shakeshaft with the bragging rights belonging to the youth team on this occasion. Well done all!
